Silicon Integrated Systems Corp. (SiS) said its discrete chipset, SiS648MX, and the integrated chipset, SiSM661MX, both offer peripheral logic support for Intel Pentium-M microprocessor.
SiS also announced it has agreed terms with Intel Corp. to license the necessary rights to build chipsets based on Pentium-M microprocessors.
SiS648MX supports a 400-MHz system bus with 200-MHz memory interface (DDR400) and the AGP 8X graphic interface. The SiSM661MX chip set has an additional graphics processing circuitry.
Mass production of the SiS648MX and SiSM661MX is due to commence in the fourth quarter of 2003, SiS said.
