Fujitsu plans to bring 90nm structured ASIC to market in 2004.
"We expect to release the first 90nm AccelArray family in the first quarter of 2004," said Vincent Shen, senior director of ASIC engineering at FMA, Sunnyvale, Calif. "We believe that the AccelArray, which eliminates many of the back-end design steps for customers, will be an excellent way of offering customers the benefits of 90nm technology without exposing them to the complexities of being an early adopter of a challenging process."
"Let us just say that the largest AccelArray today in 130nm offers about 3.5 million user gates," Shen said. "We feel that is too small for some of our customers, so we are enlarging it in the 90nm process."
