Transmeta said today , Nvidia has agreed to develop media communications processors to accompany Transmeta's next processor, dubbed Efficeon.
The chips should enable mobile personal computers designed around the Efficeon to show "exceptional" multimedia and graphics, Transmeta said, without elaborating. The two companies are already collaborating, Transmeta said, although no details of what chips
"Transmeta's collaboration with Nvidia, an industry leader, will spur innovative graphics capabilities in mobile devices," said Matthew Perry, president and chief executive officer of Transmeta, in a statement.
