DRAM revenue worldwide will have a slight 8% year over year increase in 2003 to reach $16.7 billion, according to a new report by iSuppli Corp.
The market research firm projected a 27% jump in DRAM revenue in 2004 to $21.2 billion. For DRAM bit shipments, the grow will be 41% this year and 50% in 2004, iSuppli said.
The report said corporate IT spendings should increase next year, spurring more demand for computers and memory. But iSuppli said the memory prices will remain down because DRAM supply will increase at a faster rate in 2004 than this year.
