Advanced Micro Devices took aim at the value added reseller (VAR) community today, introducing a new partner program to push its 64-bit line.
The AMD Solution Provider program claims benefits in three areas. "Foundation" benefits provide basic support with product information, training and customized communication. "Connection" benefits offer recognition from AMD, launch partner programs and access to special events. While "business acceleration" benefits include sales promotions, evaluation and seed programs and marketing funds.
"We recognize the value that the system builder and VAR community offers their customers," said Robert Fuller, director of AMD's North American field marketing, in a statement. "The service, quality and customization that these solution providers deliver mirrors AMD's focus: providing innovations that best meet consumers' needs."
In addition to the base member level, partners who are closely aligned with key AMD strategies may be invited to participate at the higher Gold and Platinum member levels, the company said.
