Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific Pte Ltd announced a new technology incubator program in partnership with the Economic Development Board of Singapore, designed to help create the next generation of Singapore's high-tech companies delivering leading semiconductor products and solutions.
Infineon will contribute S$10 million over the next few years to the technology incubator program.
"Having an entrepreneurial environment like Singapore coupled with the Infineon technology incubator program, we believe we can make a significant impact in enabling entrepreneurs to quickly convert great ideas into great companies," said Loh Kin Wah, president and managing director, Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.
The technology incubator approach is expected to jump start the critical planning stage to ensure success through expertise and mentoring via Infineon's business development expertise and its worldwide partnership networks.
Teo Ming Kian, chairman, Singapore Economic Development Board, said, "Singapore has all the key elements - strong manufacturing capabilities, technical expertise and pro-enterprise environment - to bring new ideas and solutions of local and foreign innovators to fruition."
