For the first full month after a record Q3, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. today announced that net sales for October climbed 33 percent year-over-year, a new record high for a third consecutive month.

Sales of $584 million (20.3 billion Taiwanese dollars) also marked the first time that the company’s monthly sales exceeded $575 million (20 billion TWD).

Sales increased 7.4 percent on a month-over-month basis.

Revenues for January through October totaled (164 billion TWD), an increase of 21.8 percent over the same period in 2002.

The foundry attributed the October gains to increased customer demand in anticipation of the holiday season, especially for consumer and communication products.
