Hynix Semiconductor said it has started production of 256Mb DDR DRAMs, installing 0.11-micron circuit width technology.
The company, which released a sample product in October, reinforced tests to prove the quality of the chips, and has started production of the chips since Nov 1, said a Hynix Semiconductor official.
The 0.11-micron circuit width technology enhances productivity by 40% in comparison to 0.13-micron width technology.
