Samsung Electronics is expected to retain its leading position in global memory chip sales in 2003 with a 28.1% share of the market, according to iSuppli Corp, a U.S.-based market research group.
However, the Korean chip giant is estimated to suffer a 2.3% drop in its memory chip revenues for the full year of 2003, as it has focused on production of high-end flash memory, said the research agency in a report.
