The U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (USDOC/ITA) in cooperation with Semiconductor Equipment & Materials International (SEMI) announce its organization of a trade mission to China for the microelectronics industry, March 15-19, 2004. This trade mission will center around the renowned Shanghai exhibition ElectronicChina 2004 in conjunction with SEMICON China (www.semi.org/semiconchina) . In addition to Shanghai, the mission is planning a second stop to Suzhou. The mission will be led by a senior official in ITA’s Information Technology Industries sector.
Targeted mission participants include representatives from U.S. firms specializing in electronic components and production equipment, and photonic technologies, who are interested in enhancing their entrance into or maintaining their presence and increasing sales in the rapidly China market.
Participation in this two-stop mission will allow you the opportunity to make business contacts by meeting one-on-one with Chinese counterparts tailored to your product(s), market objectives, and the type of representation/partnership you seek; and by attending business receptions where you can meet and network with key government and industry representatives and prospective business partners. Your firm will also receive extensive market exposure prior to and during the mission through press coverage, advance Chinese-language press releases, and other promotional vehicles. Logistical support will be provided by USDOC staff in Shanghai, and will include briefings given by government and industry experts on the local market and business climate.
