The 128Mbit (4Mbit×32) graphics DDR chips for notebook are expected to be in tight supply esepcially in the spot market. To make the matter worse, Samsung has recently sold all of its 128Mbit graphics DDR chips inventory to the European leading PC distributor Medion, according to a source familiar with the matter.
In the spot market, 128Mbit (4Mbit×32) DDR chips were quoted at US$4.27 per chip today, up from US$3.60 at the end of 2003, according to DRAMeXchange.
