With a record 2,300 exhibitors occupying 1.35 million square feet of floor space and more than 110,000 attendees expected, this year CES show is the largest ever.
Consumer Electronics field is getting more competitive as more and more players including the big names such as Microsoft, Intel, Dell, and HP are trying to get a piece of pie of this $95 billion market.
Dell and HP, for instance, are stepping into the flat-screen TV market as their counterpart Gateway did a year ago. Microsoft and Intel are also building their way into the family living room with various investment and development in consumer products and platform.
Aside from Dell and HP, the LCD TVs market is becoming crowded as other newcomers such as Westinghouse Digital Electronics, Motorola, Planar Systems, and JBL, among others, will also show off their new liquid crystal display TVs at the show. Consumers will have more choices and the prices of the plasma TVs will slowly coming down.
