Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. 's January sales jumped 45.9 percent year-over-year, coming in at $579 million (19.2 billion Taiwanese dollars)
“TSMC’s January 2004 sales increased as a result of higher wafer shipments compared to December 2003," Lora Ho, TSMC's CFO, said in a statement. "In addition, due to a fewer number of working days in February, it is expected that TSMC’s February 2004 sales would decline slightly."
The company’s Q1 guidance, she added, remains unchanged.
