Intel said its revenue is expected to grow about 15 percent in 2004, in line with similar growth in the demand for semiconductors, according to a news source in Japan.
Intel spokesman said that Intel's goals have always been to outperform the growth in demand for semiconductors.
In January, the world's largest semiconductor manufacturer reported record quarterly revenue of $8.74 billion for the quarter, up 22 percent from a year earlier. For the current quarter, Intel forecasts revenue growth of 10 to 19 percent.
