Sharp released the smallest ultraportable laptop that weights about two-pound.
With Transmeta Efficeon TM8600 chipset, the Actius MM20 runs at clock speed of 1 GHz, has a fanless design and built-in 802.11g WLAN connectivity, the company said.
The device comes with Windows XP Home Edition, a 20 GB hard drive and a 10.4-inch screen that displays a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768. Most other ultraportable laptops are a bit heavier, typically about three pounds and equipped with a 12.1-inch screens.
The Actius MM20 will ship in April and will cost $1499, the company said.
