Lehman possitively up estimates for AMD

Lehman raises the firm's expectations for AMD with slightly higher sales and improving margins amid the company's positive play in the flash market and industry adoption of the company's 64-bit Opteron processor, the company in a report.

"We expect flash and microprocessor value player AMD to report solid Q1 results," Lehman said in the report. Lehman's estimates for the March quarter have edge upward from $1.169 billion and to $1.189 billion, with full-year 2004 moving from 22 cents to 31 cents earnings per share and 2005 estimates moving from 43 cents to 49 cents.
