Agilent launched new Bench-Top memory tester

Wednesday, March 24, 2004 Agilent Technologies Inc. today rolled out a desktop version of its flash-memory and logic tester line.

The Versatest Model V4000 is a complete, single platform that is geared for engineering development through high-volume production. The 64-channel, 100-MHz product is designed to test flash memory, DRAM, SRAM, embedded memory and logic.

The V4000 has been optimized for use in an office environment and draws power from a standard wall outlet. The system is compact and has been designed for use under desks. The V4000 features standard dual flat-panel monitors and a wireless keyboard and mouse. The system is designed for single-site use, and its self-contained cooling system does not require facility water.

"The Agilent V4000 extends our single-platform strategy to the engineering desktop, creating an end-to-end platform from the desktop through production test," said Mike Bandy, vice president and general manager of Agilent's California Semiconductor Test division, in a statement. "This system enables customers to tap into the power of the Versatest series at a fraction of the cost, and ensures that the programs they develop correlate with current and future Versatest systems at contract manufacturers worldwide."

The Agilent Model V4000 is priced starting at $85,000. The system is available now.
