Chips sales in February were $15.58 billion, a 0.2 percent increase from January and 31 percent jump compared to the same period last year, the Semiconductor Industry Association reported Friday.
SIA noted that February historically has been a relatively weak month for chip sales. SIA said the 31 percent growth reflects the steady improvement in business conditions.
Sales in the United States and Japan declined slightly, while all other geographic regions recorded increases, according to SIA data.
