United Microelectronic Corp. saw March sales cap off a 41.5 percent year-over-year revenue jump for the first three months of 2004.

March results of $269 million (9 billion Taiwanese dollars) showed a near 28 percent improved from March 2003 and compared to $239 million (8 billion TWD) in February sales.

For the first three months, the number two foundry saw sales of $756 million (25.3 billion TWD).

Full release of UMC's Q1 results is tentatively scheduled for April 28.
