Taiwan DRAM and module makers are selling more products to China PC manufacturers, according to a report.
China will become the largest DRAM module market in the world by 2007 with 30% market share, up from 21% in 2003, according to a report from iSupply.
Many module makers in Taiwan have now begun selling modules with chips made by Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC) to the Chinese PC OEMs. Nanya, on the other hand, are selling chips directly to China-based module maker Ramaxel Technology, said a source familiar with the matter.
Ramaxel held 7% of the global US$8.7 billion third-party DRAM module market in 2003 and was the seventh largest player, according to iSuppli.
