Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. reported net sales for April reached a new record high of $618 million (20.63 billion Taiwanese dollars), representing a 3.3 percent increase over March.
On a year-over-year basis, net sales for the month increased 35.2 percent.
“TSMC continues to increase our capacity to meet customers' needs," Lora Ho, TSMC VP and CFO, said in a statement. "Although TSMC had approximately 0.6 day's loss of wafer movement due to the power outage on April 10 in Hsinchu, TSMC's sales increased sequentially as a result of higher wafer shipments.”
January through April sales saw a 43 percent improvement year-over-year, coming in at $78.14 million ($2.34 billion TWD).
