Packaging IP supplier Tessera Technologies Inc. said today that Henry Nothhaft, a 30-year telecommunications and networking industry veteran, was recently elected to its board of directors, replacing Philip Dauber, who retired.
Nothhaft is currently chairman and CEO of Danger, Inc., a privately-held wireless software and services provider. Previously, Nothhaft was chairman, president and CEO of Concentric Network Corp. from 1995 to 2001; Nothhaft guided the company through its successful IPO and merger with NextLink in 1999, which created XO Communications.
Prior to Concentric, Nothhaft held executive roles at DSC Communications Corp. and GTE Telenet Communications Corp. (now Sprint).
