Royal Philips Electronics predicts the sales of the company's LCD monitors to more than double this year, estimating a climb of a hundred fifty percent compared to last year.
Apparently, their goal is to become the third largest in the Taiwan market by the end of the year. At present, Philips is positioned at number five, as they experienced a slight setback when the lack of TFT LCD panel supplies affected production of their LCD monitors.
Nonetheless, Philips remains positive that the company will gain stronger sales in the second half of the year, once it begins manufacturing its high-end 17-inch and 19-inch LCD monitors with a response time of 12 to 16ms.
