Flash memory vendor SanDisk said it has started shipping a SecureDigital card that combines 256MB of storage with Wi-Fi communications.
The card is available only for mobile devices based on the Microsoft Pocket PC platform, the company said. The Wi-Fi portion of the combo card supports 802.1x and PSK security. The company also claimed that the card uses Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum technology to provide a range of as far as 800 feet.
The card has a list price of $129.
