While Intel has resumed deliveries of 915 chipsets after a recall, the chipset won't hit the channel fully until late July, according to a news report citing sources from Taiwanese motherboard makers.
The sources always said that the actual number of defective 915 chipsets might be higher than was previously estimated. The chip defect and delay in delivery has also prompted the DDR2 chips and PCI Express graphic cards suppliers to slow or hold their production ramp, the sources claimed.
