Samsung Electronics announced on this week that it has developed a 64Mbit phase-change RAM and sample products.
Samsung Electronics said it reduced the cell size using its next-generation technology. This is the first time for chipmakers to release sample products of such 64Mb PRAM chips.
The company said that it will be able to seize a stronghold in the next-generation memory market based on this development.
Samsung Electronics plans to mass produce 64Mb PRAMs in 2006.
