First-tier motherboard makers in Taiwan have cut the prices of the 915P- and 915G-based motherboards in a move to beef up demand, according to a news sources in Taiwan.
Intel planned to reduce US$1-2 on its 915-series chipsets by next month, the sources said. But the cut was deemed insignificant to stir up demand that has prompted the motherboard makers to lower their prices in advance.
After the reduction, 915G motherboards is now priced about US$100, down from US$110, while the price for 915P models down to below US$90, from US$100.
