Global sales of semiconductors rose 1 percent in July, the SIA research firm reported.
Sales in July rose to $18 billion from $17.8 billion in June, the SIA said. The group stood by its earlier forecast calling for sales growth of about 28 percent in 2004, despite concerns about inventories and consumer spending.
