Global sales of mobile hones hit a record 156 million in the second quarter, Gartner said in a report. The research firm forecast 650 million units for the full year.
Nokia increased its market share to 29.7 percent in the second quarter from 28.9 percent in previous quarter, the firm said. Motorola holds 15.8 percent of the market, Samsung Electronics at 12.1 percent, Sony Ericsson at 6.6 percent and LG Electronics at 6.0 percent.
