The 2004 Taipei International Electronics Show (Taitronics) will be held between October 8-12 and then again between October 16-20. The first Taitronics show will host component and equipment vendors, while the second event will feature finished products.
The Taitronics shows cover electronic components and finished products for electronics, optoelectronics and communications, according to the two organizers of the event, the government-sponsored Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Electrical & Electronic Manufacturers Association (TEEMA).
There will be about 2,000 booths and 890 exhibitors at the Taitronics components and equipment show and about 1,800 booths and 800 exhibitors at the finished products show. In addition, about 60 foreign exhibitors will exhibit products from the Netherlands, Germany, Hong Kong, Sweden, South Korea and Australia. The two organizers expect the 2004 Taitronics shows to attract more than 40,000 potential buyers.
Beginning in 1998, Taitronics was split into two separate shows because the exhibition space at the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) was not large enough to meet the growing demand from exhibitors. However, TWTC has expanded its exhibition space and added second and third exhibition halls, so the shows will be combined again beginning next year.
