Google said it plans to release a version of its desktop search tool for computers running on the Mac operating system from Apple Computer Inc.. Exact release was not given.
Google released the desktop tool earlier this month. Some people raised concerns about the threat to privacy from software that could scour e-mails, instant messenger chats and other personal threads.
Google deemded as the dominance in the Web search. Its shares have nearly doubled since it IPO in August.
