Micron Technology said it is not expecting a fine following Infineon' fine in September for DRAM price-fixing. "We've been giving evidence to the Department of Justice and we will not be getting a fine," Micron CEO told reports.
The CEO said there is no replacement for DRAM in the near future. Although other technologies are being developed but there's nothing close to being mainstream.
The company said it is ramping up wafers for its first flash chip, a 2Gbit device made on a 90nm process that they cross-licensed from Toshiba.
