Mosaid Technologies Inc. today said it has initiated litigation against Hynix Semiconductor Inc. and two of its U.S.-based affiliates for allegedly infringing on seven of its U.S. patents.

The patents were granted on fundamental DRAM circuit inventions, which Mosaid said it pioneered as a semiconductor design company.

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Tyler Division.

In its complaint, Mosaid claims that Hynix infringed and is infringing by making and selling products, including DRAMs, which use Mosaid's DRAM patents.
