TSMC reported February sales totaled $558 million, 17.5 percent lower than the $676.2 million in January and 6.4 percent lower than the $596.4 million the same period a year back.

Revenues for the first two months of the year at TSMC were $1.23 billion, 1.3 percent above the same time period last year.

¡§Due to fewer working days as well as fewer wafer shipments, net sales for February 2005 decreased by 17.5 percent compared to January 2005,¡¨ TSMC executive said in a statement. ¡§TSMC¡¦s January and February results were exactly in line with our internal estimations."
