The top four Taiwanese motherboard makers shipped a total of 6.69 million motherboards in February, according to a source familiar with the companies. Comparing to the 7.70 shipments in January, the number is down by 13.1%.
The on-month decline was greater than market expectations due to weaker demand from the clone markets in the US and Europe, the sources noted.
The top four Taiwanese motherboard makers make up of Asustek Computer, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), Gigabyte Technology and Micro-Star International (MSI).
