Mosaid Technologies Inc. announced new DRAM patent litigation against Infineon Technologies AG in Texas, days after a New Jersey court ruled in favor of Infineon regarding other memory patent infringement claims.
According to Mosaid, this case is a whole new ball of wax. Today's suit regards Mosaid's patents, numbers 6,657,919 and 6,057,676, and U.S. reissued patent number RE 37,641, which the company said are from three patent families referred to as its delay locked loop, cell plate voltage and bit-line isolation families.
"The three patent families in this Texas litigation are different than the two patent families at issue in the New Jersey litigation with Infineon," said Jim Skippen, senior VP of patent licensing and general counsel at Mosaid, said in a statement.
Earlier this week, the New Jersey court ruled that Infineon¡¦s accused products do not infringe six of Mosaid¡¦s patents, numbers 5,822,253, 5,751,643, 6,278,640, 5,828,620, 6,055,201 and 6,580,654.
