HP is introducing new business desktops and workstations offering the new Microsoft Windows x64 Edition operating systems.
HP is supporting the new Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition on its new AMD-based HP dx5150 Business Desktop PC and across its entire lineup of professional workstations, including the high-end xw9300 Workstation and the new HP xw4300 Workstation. HP will also offer the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions across its broad portfolio of 64-bit HP ProLiant servers based on AMD Opteron and 64-bit Intel Xeon MP processors.
The HP dx5150 Business Desktop is the company's newest addition to the 5000 Series of business desktops, designed with the AMD Athlon 64 and Sempron processors. It supports the new Microsoft Windows XP x64 Edition 64-bit operating system, dual-channel DDR400 memory, high-performance serial ATA hard drives, and an x16 PCI-Express slot. The dx5150 also features AMD Enhanced Virus Protection and AMD's Cool 'n Quiet technology (which, according to the company, reduces processor power consumption and fan noise), and the . ATI Radeon Xpress200 chipset with built-in graphics that supports dual-display features.
The HP dx5150 Business Desktop is available at prices starting at $470.
