NEC Electronics said that Microsoft has adopted its embedded DRAM for the next generation XBox.
The embedded DRAM will be used as a key piece of the graphics subsystem of the game console.
The production of the eDRAM graphics chip has started at NEC Electronics' 300-mm wafer fabrication facility, which is equipped with 90-nm process technologies named UX6.
