Powerchip Semiconductor said it will allocate more than 10% of its capacity at its first 12-inch wafer fab by this June to produce NAND flash for Renesas Technology.
The allocation would mean a total of 5,000 wafers of 1Gb NAND flash chips in June for Renesas, up from 3,000 this month.
In addition to the 1Gb NAND flash orders, PSC may start producing 4Gb NAND flash by the end of the year for Renesas, DRAM makers said.
