In a move to push its MMC Micro flash card, Samsung has informed several of its clients that its NAND flash chips are not to be used on SD cards but should only be used in MMC micro cards, according to sources in Taiwan familiar with the matter.

Since SD card format is still the most widely used memory card for portable electronics, some Samsung NAND flash clients said they are still shipping SD cards based on Samsung’s NAND flash memory.
