Germany's Infineon AG is once again considering a move to spin-off its memory chip group, according to a report from Reuters.
Infineon¡¦s shares rose almost 3 percent on Wednesday (Aug. 17) on speculation it would be ¡§broken up and reintegrated¡¨ by former parent Siemens AG, according to the report, which cited the Wirtschaftswoche magazine in Germany.
The report quoted an Infineon spokesman, who said the company ¡§was still weighing all options for its memory chip unit.¡¨
