Expanding its efforts in the non-DRAM market, Micron Technology Inc. said it is shipping its first high-density, 4- and 8-gigabit NAND flash memory products.
Micron's devices use a 3.3-Vot power supply and are packaged in a standard 48-pin thin small outline package (TSOP).
"Micron is committed to meeting customers' solid state NAND memory requirements by offering competitive and quality solutions to enable next generation mobile applications," said Bob Leibowitz, Micron's NAND product marketing manager, in a statement. "By leveraging our success and expertise in DRAM manufacturing, Micron is prepared to produce and deliver the high-density devices customers demand for their mass storage requirements."
