Despite spot prices for efficiently tested (eTT) DRAM falling under US$2.3, Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation is maintaining its quotes at the US$2.4 level, as it expects demand to pick up soon, according to sources.
Prices for eTT have declined over 11% since the start of this month, dropping to as low as US$2.23 yesterday, according to DRAMeXchange. Prices have been decreasing as DRAM makers clear out inventory, sources said.
Nevertheless, PSC is keeping its eTT quotes at US$2.4, as it expects that while memory makers continue focusing on flash production, demand for DRAM will pick up when the hot season arrives, the sources indicated.
