Infineon Technologies AG and its partner Nanya Technology Corp. have said they intend to list their joint venture Inotera on the Taipei stock exchange, according to an Associated Press report.
According to a Dow Jones report Inotera could list as soon as October.
The money raised from the IPO would be used to build a second wafer fab for Inotera, which makes DRAMs.
Infineon did not have details on the timing, or the pricing, of the planned IPO, according to Associated Press report.
Plans to take Inotera public come amid rumors that Infineon is seeking to exit from DRAM making.
