Worldwide semiconductor unit shipments are expected to slow and peak by the first quarter of 2006, according to a report from Soleil Securities Inc.
“That is one quarter sooner than we had previously been anticipating,” the company’s analyst said. The projected peak follows a sizzling month for IC shipments and revenue, mainly due to growth for DSPs, microprocessors and NAND-based flash memories.
