Fujitsu said it signed a deal to cooperate on computer servers with Electronic Data Systems to provide EDS its high-end servers such as Primequest.
Fujitsu's platforms will be incorporated in EDS's solutions and are expected to be available to global customers beginning with the North American market, the company said in a statement.
Fujitsu launched Primequest servers using Intel Corp.'s Itanium 2 processors in April, targetting mission-critical tasks including online financial transactions and database systems.
The company said at the time it aimed to sell 10,000 of the new servers in three years, bringing in some 150-200 billion yen in total revenue.
