Apple Computer Inc. plans to release an Intel-based iBook in January, according to an unofficial Mac enthusiast site.
Apple is expected to launch the entry-level laptop at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco, the site reported, quoting "highly reliable" sources. Little else was known about the upcoming iBook, such as price or which Intel processor would be used.
However, other Intel-based Macs could be released at the expo, but they would most likely be consumer products, and not from the high-end, professional lines, the site reported.
