Taiwan government to stimulate digital content industry

Taiwan government decided to invest NT$20 billion in digital content and innovation industries. The plan will be hold by the Steering Committee for the Development of the Digital Contents Industry under the Executive Yuan.
 
For those target projects with capital over NT$100 million, the government will hold under 49% while those capital are under NT$100 million, the government will help them finding investment capital from venture capital funds. Lin Feng-ching, minister without portfolio, said that the NT$20 billion would be carried out in five years.
 
Besides, the Executive Yuan will establish a consumer protection formula to regulate and set up a process to solve the disputes of internet-business and transaction disputes between players as well. The Yuan expects the formula can lower the risks for online games. The Yuan will start helping industries to develop a safe environment to the online game players in three stages by the end of next year. The three stages are safety-detecting services for online games, standard procedures for detection of Internet safety, and assistance for companies to improve their information environment.
