Following Nanya and Promos, Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC) has also received orders, possibly DDR2 chips, from Dell, sources familiar with the matter said.
PSC ramps up its 12-inch wafer capacity and is shipping samples to several PC OEMs, the company said in a statement.
The sources predict that PSC will see 10% of its sales coming PC OEMs by year-end, with sales to Elpida accounting for 30% and sales to the spot market at a high 60%.
