Rambus has appointed Udo Muerle as Director of Business Development for its new European office with responsibility for the overall management and direction of Rambus’ strategic customer and partnership relationships in Europe.
Muerle joins Rambus from Synopsys, where he held the position of executive account managerand previously has a number of positions in the EDA industry, including that of chief executive officer of TransEDA. He has also worked in Europe for Virage Logic, Texas Instruments and IBM.
Sharon Holt, senior vice president of worldwide sales, licensing and marketing at Rambus, said, "As we grow our business presence in Europe, we are looking to Udo to build the foundation for strategic relationships with our customers there. Europe is home to world-leading electronics companies and with Udo’s experience and background we look forward to engaging with them to develop breakthrough products for the market."
Muerle will be based at the new Rambus European office in Pforzheim, near Stuttgart in Germany.
